On bright sunny Sunday morning I
decided to have a small trip to any tourist place near Pune. One of
my friend suggested me a Bhuleshwar temple. Then I searched about
Bhuleshwar on Google for primitive information, then finalized the
route and I am ready to go...
Bhuleshwar – a Archaic carving
temple. This temple is situated at about 60 km from Pune.
Archaic carving Lord Shiva temple |
A road from Pune to Bhuleshwar is
pretty good. You can opt Pune – Solapur Highway and take right turn
from Yawat. Please note, last 2 to 3 kms journey is bit rough and
there is a steep road just before the temple.
Symbol of great ancient Indian history |
Treat to watch |
Rows of carved pillar |
Photographers, this is a must visit
place for you. You can spend whole day capturing beauty of this
temple.
A small Elephant |
The sculptures depict various scenes
from Ramayana and Mahabharata but today they are in damaged
condition. The destruction is caused by Adilashah (Mughal King)
during his conflicts with Peshwas.
There is no good food and water
arrangements available near temple So please have your own
food/water.
Only stall available near temple |
During my return journey some of the
villagers suggested me to visit “Ramdara” (25 km from Bhuleshwar
temple towards Pune) . There is a Lord Ram temple in Ramdara. Climate at
this location is peaceful and pleasant.
Thinking Shepard |
So if you are really bored and doing
nothing on weekends then do visit Bhuleshwar. It is really fantastic
place and worth spending one day of your life. After such satirical
devastation this temple still has its own beauty intact.
